Let The Criminals Free
Well earlier this week in Victoria Australia the Prison system let a convicted child rapist walk out the front gate. To top it off he had an electronic bracelet that told them he was gone, BUT it had no tracking system built into it.The Police could not find him, The Courts said that they could not release a photo because he could not be identified. So the Police can’t find him and the Public is not allowed to help, that is insane.
Anyway after 2 days on the run, with the help of the public he was found sitting on a hotel porch half an hour away from the prison. He obviously was not that smart.
An interesting link to a site on the subject showing even more history is http://www.mako.org.au/temp_andrew_darling.html
Why was he allowed out in the first place, without tracking?
The Courts are not putting these animals away, the Government isn;t keeping them in jail, and the already understaffed Police are left to clean up the mess AGAIN. Oh and the public, you and I are put in danger.
P.S. the good news is that the Courts locked up one Murderer today for LIFE, never to be released. It was the second time he has murder his girlfriends after all.

Plan Your Life Not Just Your Holidays
Filed under: Uncategorized;1 CommentHave you ever noticed how people spend weeks planning thier holidays and yet they don;t spend a few hours a year or a day planning thier life?
Well tonight my family did a review of our plans for the year. I drew up a plan over the Christmas New Year period. 4 weeks in and it was time to review, adjust and reset. Spending this time provides a way to progress and achieve over time. Me I am a concervative type person, I will take what I think is possible and round it down, and continue toround everything down. It is better to achieve your goals rather than re-enforce failure. Mind you it is important to stretch and not limit yourselves.
Well I have tested, measured and put more tools in place tonight to achieve our goals for the year. Things hav enot gone as planned, but the results will be achieved. A bit light a Pilot & a Plane, it spends 98% of the time off course, and the Pilot has to bring it back on coarse to get where it is supposed to go. Keeping checking measuring and adjusting and you will achieve.
This is what I try and teach my son, you have to know wher eyou are going and not give in, change course where necessary but get to where you need to be.
I hope this helps.

We obviously have a youth problem in this country. We have youth violence, drunkenness and the list goes on.
Why do youths have this lack of respect, self respect and direction?
What can we do about this, apart from “warehousing” them (ie: putting them in jail)?
Why not National Service?
What would they do?
No I don;t mean guns and killing and reinforcing their violent behaviour. I mean service to the nation. Enforcing the ideals of Community Service is the objective. This would include working in hospitals, community centres, old age homes, for local councils on roads, in clerical positions.
Getting them fit, physically and then working on their mind and attitudes. Physically train them like the Defence Forces, then work with them socially. Put them all through 12 weeks of Life Coaching. Basically everything that schools and modern families don;t do. Build their self esteem, allow them to find some direction.
The objective is not to humiliate or demean them, it is to build self esteem, build confidence and community awareness. From the communities perspective it is to get things done around the community. To allow them to pay back the community for the investment in them. How much could we get done if our younger generation all worked to develop the community for a period of time, if they all had their own coach during this development time of their life and if we could provide some direction to these PEOPLE and prevent them from going off the tracks?
So who would be conscripted?
- Lets start with all unemployed for more than 3 months.
- All 19 year olds.
- Exceptions :- Medical reasons, university students (who would have to do it after they completed their first course)
This is done in many countries, including South Africa and Singapore, admittedly their focus is defence, ours would be community and development.
Is its taking away people’s free choice? Yes but every law does this, for the benefit of society.
The real question is, are there benefits there for the individual and the community?

In 2004 I came across someone that taught me about the benefits of Multiple Streams Of Income, for your wealth, domestic and financial security.I took his teachings seriously, and as a result since then I have developed interests in property, shares, businesses as well as a number of other income producing systems. This has been quite useful when one income source has evaporated or temporarily gone down at any stage. Taking the fluctuations out of your income is an important step in your life stability.
Finances are the most common cause of divorce, by bring stability to your finances, you reduce your risks.
During this Global Economic Crisis do you feel secure in your job? Most people do not feel safe, they are concerned about their job, they are worried about their home loan and interest rates going up. It is time to expand your income sources and asset classes. You can;t depend on the Government to look after you, and certainly not your employer.
So how would you develop these Multiple Streams Of Income? Well you could go and see your accountant, who probably earns less than you. You could go and see a Financial Advisor, who gets paid directly from a select group of so called investment funds. Or you could take some responsibility and go and get educated. Learn how to protect your finances and your family.
I have included some of my Favourite businesses in my Investment tab at the top of the page.
One of the things that I do carry out Small Scale Share Issues in businesses that do not want to take out loans but want to raise capital and take their business into Equity. This is particularly useful for start-ups and the entrepreneur.
If I can be of any assistance with Multiple Streams Of Income, please click on the Talk To Craig dialog box above, lets chat.

Nuclear Power, is this Australia’s best option?
Is it Australia’s only sensible option?
Is it safe in the 21st Century?
What about 3 Mile Island and Chernobyl? Both of these were old, even in those times. 50 years on from their construction there are much better designs, more reliable and more durable.
Should we base our decisions based on fears of what has happened in the past? Well we are human, that is what we do, it would be unrealistic to think otherwise. These fears don’t make it right though.
In Australia we have an obscene amount of uninhabited land, our country is geologically speaking, extremely stable, so plants and waste storage would be “reasonably” safe. We are predominantly a responsible 1st world country, our population is typically in cities, making it easier to supply.
Australia has a massive amount of Uranium (Yellow Cake), we would be self supportive.
Most of all we would be able to eliminate our coal and fossil fuel power generation. This would help the environment in so many ways.
If we were to do this, then when we get the quotes for the plants, we should budget on 3 times the tender. Build it to twice the standard safety specifications, nothing should be skimped on. If you take the cheapest quote then you will probably get the cheapest product. The risks are too high for this type of Government logic.
We should do this, we should take EVERY care, we should pay for the best possible job, rather than the most affordable.
Where do you think we should be? What cost are you prepared to pay?

School Cyber Safety
The other day my son received an invitation to Facebook group called XXX Primary School (XXX standing for the school name) from a school friend. My son is very cyber aware, I receive a copy of all of his e-mails, as a result this was intercepted quickly. I spoke with the parent of the owner of the group and suggested that it be renamed to something more difficult for predators to find and join. I did another search and found 3 other similar groups. What groups are your children members of? Can predators quickly identify them?
Speaking with other parents about this, they suggested we contact the Principal and get them to stop these groups. That of course is impossible, we are talking about the internet after all.
The only way to protect our children and deal with this type of thing is awareness and to educate the parents and then the children. We cannot leave the protection of our children with the schools. We as parents have to take responsibility, responsibility to educate ourselves, only then are we in a position to coach and work with our children.
I trust my Son totally, it is the other people on the Internet I don;t and can;t trust. I teach my Son “Cyber Karate” so he can defend himself. I trust him and teach him to be aware of what is out there.
Summary:-
- Check the government site
- The internet is dangerous
- Schools cannot be left with responsibility of protecting our children
- Hide your kids on the internet
- Parents must get educated
- Parents must get involved in their children’s internet usage
- Teach your kids “Cyber Karate”
- Don;t leave them alone with computers, work together in a communal area

In 2005 P.M. John Howard did the only legal thing and legislated against Compulsory Student Unionism. I say the only legal thing, because apart from Students, Compulsory Unionism, had been outlawed for many years. When I went to University I refused to pay Compulsory Union fees (I was quite the rebel), because I felt that it was illegal and unjust. Besides I moved a motion to sack the Student Union 3 times while I was there. This was due to Child abuse in the Union run Childcare Centre, along with misuse of funds. When I graduated the University (not the Student Union) withheld my Degree until I paid my back Compulsory Union fees. A compromise was reached, I donated a box of texts to the Library.
There is a bill before Parliament at the moment to reintroduce a “Compulsory Tertiary Fee” on top of HECS. This will be for part time students, off campus students, every student. It is to provide services to the students. Well how are off campus and part time students going to benefit from this. What happens if the money is mismanaged and the services provided are Kegs of beer, and strippers like when I was at Uni? Should our broke students be forced to pay for services they are unable to use or not interested in?
Isn’t HECS the tax that is intended to cover Tertiary students educational needs, and they get to pay this back, sometimes for a life time? Why should we introduce yet another tax? Isn’t our tax system complicated enough? (That is another subject for another time.)
Tertiary Students should pay for their extracurricular activities, but other students should not have to pay for them. They should be self funded.
Summary:-
- Liberals want to introduce HECS (1980 approx.)
- Labor does introduce HECS (1987 approx.)
- Liberals abolish Compulsory Student Unionism (2005)
- Liberals also put in 100’s of Millions of dollars to Universities as compensation
- Labor puts up a bill to introduce another compulsory Tertiary Fee (2009)
Is this clever? Are we really the Clever Country?
